He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a first class from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), affiliated to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.He is a member of the Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia and an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK. He is s Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka of which he serves as a governing council member since 2013. Mr. Ruchira Perera, has been a popular lecturer of Management Accounting and Financial Management subjects of CMA Sri Lanka & CA Sri Lanka over 15 years. Mr. Perera also serves as a visiting Lecturer for the Final Level & 3rd year students of the Department of Accounting & Department of Finance at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He also lectures at Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT), National Institute of Business & Management (NIBM), Bristol Institute and at Jayasekera Management Centre (JMC).Ruchira has produced several prize winners over the years for various subjects at different stages in professional exams.Ruchira Perera, is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Concord Apparel (Pvt) Ltd, a leading apparel company based in Avissawella. He has previously served as the Financial Controller of Gateway Hotel Airport Garden and as the Group Financial controller of Fentons Ltd, a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC. Before that, he has functioned as the Financial Controller of Hi Fashion (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Hirdaramani Group. As a representative of CMA Sri Lanka, he has made presentations and deliberations at many local and international conferences. He has presented in countries such as India and Bangladesh in numerous occasions.Mr. Perera is a Board Member of Cost and Management Accounting Standards Board (CMASB) set up by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka.
