Hazir is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and hold an MBA from University of West London. Hazir is a senior lecturer at Icon Business School (Pvt) Ltd which is currently the largest ACCA training college in Sri Lanka. He has 8+ years of lecturing professional qualifications of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Hazir has over 13 years of corporate strategic leadership experience in multinational corporations which allows him to blend his corporate experience with subjects related to strategy and leadership practically and with pragmatism. He has produced the highest number of prize winners for the strategic leadership case study paper for ACCA in the island. Hazir has won 2 world prizes in CIMA for strategy and management related subjects and is one of the very few to achieve this level of recognition in Sri Lanka as both these are theory subjects. This experience and skill in theory related subjects has given Hazir a huge strength in lecturing subjects related to strategy, management and case study. Hazir has also secured a world prize for his Edexcel Advanced Level Examination scoring a perfect 100 marks for the subject. He has successfully completed his Master’s in Business Administration from University of West London, UK. Hazir started his career in 2007 with a US fortune 500 multinational company and currently works for one of the leading investment research companies in Sri Lanka. He has extensive experience in managing and leading high value projects in IT, finance and research. Hazir also has led multiple operational teams with over 300 direct and indirect reports throughout his illustrious career of 13 years ranging from finance, compliance, customer service, research and analytics related work and has played a leading role in transitioning processes from US and UK to sites in the Asia Pacific region. Hazir is a multifaceted individual being a facilitator of corporate training programs in the areas of leadership, culture, change management, data analytics, project and risk management. Hazir contributed to the curriculum revision process of ACCA for the final level case study paper. He has also presented exam tips and tricks sessions for all students attempting the subject across Sri Lanka. His purpose is to modernize and accelerate strategic growth through inspiring and influencing people, sharing his experience and knowledge with future leaders and students to see them achieve something worthwhile in life.
