Lecture Profile

Indunil is a senior lecturer in Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Advanced Audit & Assurance and counts over TWO DECADES of continuous lecturing experience for Chartered Accountancy & ACCA. He is a visiting lecturer of University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Department of Accounting for undergraduate and master’s degree programs.

Lecturing Achievements

Indunil has been behind the success of exceptional exam success of students during the past two decades. Some of the exceptional achievements of his students include the FIRST ADVANCED AUDITING PRIZE WINNER OF THE COUNTRY after 21 years in 2012, the first advanced audit prize winner from the corporate sector students in 2014 and the only price winner on Corporate Governance, Assurance and Ethics subject in 2016.

Corporate Profile

Indunil is the Group Head Risk & Control and Chief Risk Officer of a larger group of companies in Sri Lanka which has the regional presence in India and Bangladesh. In his current role, he plays a key role in driving Enterprise-wide Risk Management, ESG, and Internal Controls of the group with over 15 years of managerial level experience in governance, risk and control.

Contribution to the Profession

Indunil contributed to accountancy and auditing profession and academic education in Sri Lanka as an AUTHOR, CURRICULAR DEVELOPER, AND A SPEAKER. He had served several committees at the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Sri Lankan including member of Board of Management of School of Accounting and Business (SAB), alternate chair of risk management subcommittee. He is currently a member of Sustainability Disclosure Standards Committee of CA Sri Lanka.

He has supported many initiatives of Professional Accountancy and Auditing bodies in Sri Lanka including the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Sri Lankan Chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors.
