Chandana is well known for producing high-performing students, having mentored 21 prize winners at CA Sri Lanka examinations. Notably, he has contributed to producing all prize winners in Financial Reporting at both Diploma and Professional levels of CMA from 2002 to 2010.
His academic influence extends beyond the classroom through his involvement in authoring and compiling student self-study materials. He was a resource person for CA Sri Lanka (2010–2015 CAB II Financial Accounting curriculum) and AAT Sri Lanka (Level I Financial Accounting and Level III Financial Reporting curriculum).

Parallel to his academic work, Mr. Jagath has held a successful corporate career. He worked at Trendex Lanka (Pvt) Ltd from 2001 to 2010, ascending from Accountant to Group Financial Controller. His role involved comprehensive financial management, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. His corporate journey exemplifies hands-on leadership and practical financial expertise, which greatly enriches his teaching with industry-relevant insights.
